Dr. Michael A. Todd
Dr. Michael Todd was born in Tucson, AZ and raised in Southern California. He attended medical school at the University of California San Francisco Medical Campus where he completed a year of Family Practice Residency. Dr. Todd moved to Anchorage, AK in the fall of 1998 and after completing a preceptorship in Bariatric Surgery from the University of Tennessee in 2000, he began practicing as a Bariatric Surgeon in Anchorage, AK and has been for the last 18 years.
Dr. Deborah A. Warner
Dr. Deborah Warner was born and raised in Montana and attended the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington. She practiced family medicine at Contra Costa College in Martinez California and finished her residency in 1990. Dr. Warner moved to Anchorage, AK in 1998. Her practice provides a full range of family practice including assisting Dr. Michael Todd with surgery.

Patient Representative/Office Lead
Brooke Campbell is a 22-year-old patient representative and front office lead at Alaska Bariatric Center. You may work with Brooke if you are inquiring about referrals, new patient information, or a balance on your account. Brooke graduated from Eagle River High School in 2014. When joining the team at Alaska Bariatric Center, she was fresh out of high school and unsure of the career choice she would be pursuing. However, with the experience she has gained in the office, she is looking at moving forward in the medical administration field. Brooke’s favorite part of her job is getting to know patients and being a part of their process from start to finish. Her free time consists of taking care of her newborn baby boy, Paxton, and exploring the outdoors with her flat coat retriever, Roscoe.
William (Billy) Todd is an 18-year-old patient representative working for the front desk at Alaska Bariatric Center. He graduated from East High School in May of 2018. Billy enjoys working in the office because it allows him to participate in learning about how a medical office works and what he can do to help other people. His passion lies in education and he plans on obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. In his spare time, William coaches wrestling at East High School so he can help students younger than him perfect their technique while developing mental strength. He continues to encourage his younger siblings with their school activities and show his support for their continued education.
Elizabeth Rus is a 22-year-old patient representative who has been working for Alaska Bariatric Center for the past 2 years. Elizabeth is a certified pharmacy technician and currently a nursing student at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and a current member of Sigma Theta Tau. With a graduation date of August 2019, she is excited to push forward into her career as a registered nurse and expand her experience in the healthcare field. Elizabeth is thankful to be a part of the remarkable journey the patients at ABC endure and continues to do as much as she can to help smooth out their process as they go through the office. Elizabeth is in charge of Alaska Bariatric Center’s social media profiles and advertising campaigns. Elizabeth will be sure to get your questions answered and provide you with any information you may need regarding the office.
Christine Cox earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alaska, Anchorage in 2017 as a member of Sigma Theta Tau. She also obtained a BA in Languages specializing in Spanish at the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2015. She is a born and raised Alaskan, spending her summers hiking and camping, her winters cross country skiing and her spare time volunteering with the Polish America Club of Alaska. She volunteered at Providence Alaska Medical Center in high school which sparked her interest in Nursing. Christine has always been very dedicated and hardworking when trying to achieve her goals and applies that to her patients to help them reach theirs. Her biggest goal is to help patients reach their goals no matter how big or small and help them live their best life. She looks forward to meeting you all!
Stephanie Gonzales graduated from the Alaska Charter College Medical Assisting program in 2015. She did her externship on JBER but knew she was destined for more. She accepted a position with Alaska Bariatric shortly after graduating and quickly felt at home. Stephanie works hard to help patients get through their pre-op process and scheduling surgeries at Alaska Regional Hospital and Providence Alaska Medical Center. She has aspirations of becoming an RN and is actively working towards her degree at the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
NCMA/Accounts Payable Manager
Ann Lee is the Accounts Payable Manager at Alaska Bariatric Center; she has been a loyal employee for the last 9 years. Ann completed her NCMA at Charter College in May of 2012. Once she completed this certification, she began her Nursing degree at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. She will graduate spring of 2019 as an RN. Ann would like to work in Labor and Delivery once she finishes nursing school and is excited for what opportunities come her way. Ann has 4 wonderful children and a loving husband and likes to spend her free time with them fishing or camping. She looks forward to meeting you all.
CPC, CBP/Accounts Receivable Manager
Candy is a Coding and Billing Specialist for the office and has been a loyal employee for the last 7 years. Candy is a lifelong Alaskan and can’t think of another city she would rather raise her two wonderful children Sophia and Sawyer in. In her free time, Candy enjoys spending her free time with her two children, her loving husband of 15 years, dog Sailor and their 2 cats Russet and Harlow. Candy feels blessed in having a part in changing people’s lives.
Carmen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alaska, Anchorage and started working at Alaska Bariatric Center in 2014. Carmen has wanted to be a nurse since she was 5 years old. One thing Carmen wants the patients to know about weight loss surgery is that it isn’t a quick fix and stresses the importance of making an effort to improve one’s lifestyle. She knows it is a long hard journey ahead but if one remembers its not a quick fix, it will improve one’s quality of life. In her free time, Carmen loves to travel and spend time with her two hedgehogs and Chihuahua Gordito.
Hali graduated from the Alaska Charter College Medical Assisting program in 2018. She did her externship here at Alaska Bariatric Center where she accepted a position quickly thereafter. Hali was born in Ohio and raised in California until she moved to Missouri for 7 years and made her way to Alaska in 2017. Hali enjoys being outside in her free time: she loves to take her dog Lyla out, snowboard and hike. Hali is passionate about being in the medical field and has hopes of being a surgical PA. Hali is a bright and hardworking lady who genuinely gives her all in whatever she does and seeing the patients’ progression gives her the motivation to strive to be a better healthcare professional.
Shane is a certified biller for the Alaska Bariatric Center and assists in creating authorizations for surgery for patients. Shane is a lifelong resident here in the last frontier. Shane trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and enjoys most other sports except for baseball. When he is not training or working, Shane is watching football if it is Sunday or going for a walk with his red nose pitbull Kato. Shane hopes to be of assistance to anyone while they embark on this life-changing endeavor.
